BERLIN, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Porsche will cut a further 5,000 jobs in Germany by 2035, the German sports carmaker said Monday, marking a second round of workforce reductions.
The cuts will affect positions at the company's headquarters in the Stuttgart region.
In March, Porsche announced plans to cut around 1,900 jobs in Stuttgart by 2029 and allow a further 2,000 fixed-term contracts to expire without renewal. Together with the latest plan, the company is set to reduce its workforce in Germany by about 8,900 positions. ■
