MANILA, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Typhoon Noul has left three people dead and one missing in the southern Philippines' Mindanao, said the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Monday.
The NDRRMC said the storm has affected 63,606 families, or 295,066 people, in the Philippines. A total of 7,550 people remain in 31 evacuation centers, while the storm damaged 671 houses, including 246 that were destroyed and 425 that sustained partial damage.
Government agencies have provided more than 10 million pesos (about 162,000 U.S. dollars) in relief assistance as damage assessment and validation of casualties continue. ■
