SHENZHEN, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The first council meeting and inauguration ceremony of the International Mangrove Center was held in Shenzhen of south China's Guangdong Province on Sunday.
Representatives from member states, signatory countries and observer institutions of the center attended the meeting, during which a series of institutional documents including the strategic plan and rules of procedure have been reviewed and adopted, and the Secretary-General of the International Mangrove Center was appointed. The Secretariat of the center is officially settled in Shenzhen.
